Wodan

Wodan (Wotann) = Germanic form of Odin.

The primal sky and war god of the germanic tribes was Tiwaz (norse = Tyr). Later Wodan replaced him and became new chief-god.

Later, Odin took the attributes of Wodan and Tiwaz, when he replaced Tyr, as chief-god of the skandinavian mythology.

Germanic: Wodan, Wotann
Anglo-Saxon: Woden, Wôden
Lombard: Godan, Wotan
Norse: Odin, Othinn
