Volva

The Volva ("Wise Woman") isn't one certain person. In old norse mythology every wise woman was called Volva.

The two most famous Volvas were the one of the Voluspo and this of the Baldr's Draumar. The one from the poem of Baldr's Dream was evil, but most of them were good.

You can count the Norns as Volvas too, they were three wise giantesses.
