Vindsval

Vindsval ("The Wind-Cold") or Vindljoni ("Wind-bringer"?) was the father of winter (maybe Ullr).

Vindsval's father was called Vosud (or Vasad).

"Vindsval he was | who was winter's father,
And Svosuth summer begat"
(Vafthruthnismál)

"But the father of Winter is variously called Vindljóni or Vindsvalr; he is the son of Vásadr; and these were kinsmen grim and chilly-breasted, and Winter has their temper."
(Gylfaginning XIX)
