Thora

Thora = "Dare"

1. wife of Dag
2. daughter of Hokon

1.
Thora, the wife of Dag, was the mother of Frathmar, Gyrth, Freki, Am, Jofurmar and Alf, the Old.

"The mate of Dag | was a mother of heroes,
Thora, who bore him | the bravest of fighters,
Frathmar and Gyrth | and the Frekis twain,
Am and Jofurmar, | Alf the Old"
(Hyndlulyoth)

2.
Thora, daughter of Hokon was mentiod in the Guthrunarkvitha II. She was seven half years with Gudrun in a forest in Denmark.

"From the mountain forth | five days I fared,
Till Hoalf's hall | so high I saw;
Seven half-years | with Thora I stayed,
Hokon's daughter, | in Denmark then."
(Guthrunarkvitha II En Forma)

Maybe this Thora was the same as the wife of Dag, 'couse Hoalf was often identified with Alf, the old, son of Thora and Dag.
