Dagaz

The Futhark was a germanic alphabet: It's runes had names and were associated with gods or other mythological things.

The rune "Dagaz" (or Daeg) belongs to "Tyr's Aett". It was dedicated to the day (Dagr) and the sunlight, hope, happiness and awakening.
