Algiz

The Futhark was a germanic alphabet: It's runes had names and were associated with gods or other mythological things.

The rune "Algiz" (or Elhaz) belongs to "Heimdall's Aett". It was dedicated to defence and protection, its symbols were the swan, the elk, the rainbow bridge Bifröst and the Valkyrie.

Meaning: Elk
