Nidhogg

Nidhogg or Nidhöggr ("The Dread Biter") was a dragon sittin' at the end of one of Ygdrasil's roots, in Niflheim, guarding the well Hvergelmir.
He sitts there and gnaws at the worldtree's root.

Nidhogg is always quarreling with an eagle, who sitts at the ash's top and the squirrel Ratatoskr runs up and down the ash and delivers the hatefull messages.

Nidhogg aet the deceased, that were entering the underworld and drank their blood.

He is one of the few that survives Ragnarok, he will fly in the upper world and eat some of the deceased, but finally Nidhogg must go too and will never come back.
