Nanna ("Mother") was Baldr's wife, Forseti's mother and daughter of Nep.

She lived with her husband in his hall Breidablik.

When Baldr died she died for her broken heart.

When Baldr was killed, Hermod went on Sleipnir's back to Helheim and asked for Baldr's life.
Hel gave her consent, the only condition was, that everything and everywhere had to cry for the god.

Hermod failled, becouse of one giantess called Thokk, that don't cryied. This giantess was Loki. Baldr gave him Odin's ring Draupnir and Nanna sent Frigg a linen smock and to Fulla a golden finger-ring.

The other "Nanna" (or "Manna") was the daughter of Nokkvi. Her son married a sister of Instein, father of Ottar.
