The Prose Edda |
By Snorri Sturluson
The "Younger Edda", "Prose Edda" or "Snorra Edda" was another collection of mythical and heroic poems. It was written by Snorri Sturluson around 1220 (for more informations about the autor click Here). The meaning of the word "Edda" is "Great Grandmother" or "Ancestor". But in the Prose Edda the meaning of the word could also be a variation of the roman word edico (announce, declear).
