Jormungand

Jormungand or Midgardsorm ("gigantic serpent") the Midgard-Serpent was the daughter of Angrboda and Loki. Her siblings named Hel and Fenrir.

Jormungand was called midgard-serpent 'couse she surrounded Midgard with all her body and could bite in her own tail.

When the three children of Angrboda and Loki became to powerful, the Aesir banished them: Jormungand was threwn into the sea (by Odin), where she grew up, till she could bite in her own tail; Tyr bound the wolf Fenrir with the noose Gleipnir (by this action Tyr lost his right hand); and Hel was banished into Helheim, where she became its ruler.

At Ragnarok Thor will kill the midgard-serpent but will also die by the poison of the serpent.
