Gefjon

Gefjon ("Giver") was a giantess or goddess of luck, fertility, agricolture.
Gefjon belonged to the Vanir and was the protectress of vergins, every virgin women came after her death to her hall.

Skjöldr was the name of her husband, whom she bore four sons (giants).

When the Aesir came to the realm of King Gylfi, she sang for him and he promised her as much land as she could plough in one single night. With the help of her four sons (she changed them into oxes), she ploughed all the island.
