Garm

Garm ("Howl") the gigantic hound, lived in front of the cave Gnipahellir and guarded Gjöll, the entry of Niflheim (accordind to Snorri, Gjöll was the rock, on which Garm was curted by the gods, not the entry of Niflheim). The chain, the gods used for that was called Gelgja (In this stanza of the Prose Edda, there's some confusion with the wolf Fenrir)

He'll be curt in front of the cave till Ragnarok. At Ragnarok he'll kill and be killed by Tyr.

Garm had four eyes and a bloody body. He killed everyone who passed Gnipahellir.

He was often identified with the wolf Fenrir and sometimes with the wolves Hati & Skoll.
