Meaning: "The Ravenous"; Freki was a common noun for wolves.

Freki was one of Odin's two wolves, the other one called Geri ("The Greedy "). Odin never ate something, he gave everything to Freki and Geri. Odin himself only drank Met.

Freki was the son of Dag and Thora, his brother's names were Alf, Jofurmar, Am, Frathmar and Gyrth.
