Fjörgyn

In the Poetic Edda Fjörgyn appears in two forms:
- the masculine = Odin
- and the feminine = Jörd

There's some great confusion with this name: Some say it was another name of Jörd, mother of Thor and wife of Odin;
Others say it was Frigg's mother;
A third part says that "Fjörgyn" was Jörd and "Fjörgvin" was the father of Frigg;
There are also some persons that identified her with Nerthus.

The only thing, that I know for sure is that she was the personification of the Earth.
