Egther

The giant Egther (or Eggther) seemed to be the watchman of the giants. He sat on a mountain and smote on his harp, the cook Fjalar, who announced the beginning of Ragnarök in the realm of the giants, stood beneath him.

Heimdall was the watchman of the gods and Surt of the fire-giants, Hel's realm was guarded by the hound Garm.
