Dagr was the personificated Day and its god, he was the son of the goddess Nott and the elf Delling.
His steed, with which he cross the sky was called Skinfaxi.
The rune Dagaz was dedicated to the god of the Day.

Dag, the son of Halfdan was married to Thora. Their the parents of Frathmar, Gyrth, Freki, Am, Jofurmar and Alf, the Old.
He was the ancestor of the Döglings.
According to Snorri, he was the son of Halfdan and Alvig.

The third Dag, was Hogni's son brother of Sigrun and Bragi (not the god). After the great battle with Granmar's sons he swore loyalty to the Volsungs.
Later he killed Helgi at Fjoturlund with Odin's spear and rode back to his sister Sigrun, who then cursed him.
