In the norse creation myth, Audhumla licked the salty ice-blocks from the Elivagar, till the first beautiful man, Buri, came forth from the glacier (at the first day there came forth from the blocks a man’s hair; the second day, a man’s head; the third day the whole man was there.)
Buri, the primogenitor of the gods was fair and mighty.
He was the father of Bor, whom Buri created out of himself.
