Borgar was a name that some translators added as the name of the "unnamed" brother of Borghild, wife of Sigmund.
Sinfjotli, son of Sigmund and stepson of Borghild, slew him 'couse both of them wooed the same woman.
In the original text the line's going:
"Borghildr kona Sigmundar átti bróður er hét ...."
(Translation: "Borghild, Sigmund's wife, had a brother who was named -----." )
Poetic Edda: Frá Dauða Sinfjötla
