Aurgelmir

Aurgelmir ("Wet Sand"), was the first giant (maybe, just another name of Ymir).
He was a water-giant, who was born out of the melted ice from the Elivagar's glacier.

His son was Thruthgelmir, the father of Bergelmir and the first boy and girl were born out of his armpit's sweat.

When the Aesir killed Aurgelmir, Bergelmir and his wife were the only Rime-Giants that survived the tide caused by the flow of blood, from their dead grandfather.
