Askr

Askr ("Ash") was the first man created out of an Ash (by Odin, Ve and Vili), after they had killed the giant Ymir.
The first woman was created out of an Elm and named Embla (means Elm).

The world-tree Ygdrasil was an Ash too.

Hönir =Vili/Vil
