Arvakr

Arvakr ("Early Waker").

Arvakr & Allsvinn were the two horses, that drew the Sun's chariot across the sky.
In norse mythology, runes had magic power. To manage their work, Allsvinn had a rune in its hoof and Arvark in its ear and the shield Svalin ("The Cooling") to protect them from the Sun's embers.

They were chased by the wolf Skoll, at Ragnarok the wolf will kill them.
