Almveig (or Alvig) was the daughter of King Eymund of Holmgarth (Russia) and was married to Halfdan, the Old (of whom it was foretold that "for three hundred years there should be no woman and no man in his line who was not of great repute).
They had eighteen sons
(Almveig bore nine at one birth). These nine firstborn sons were slain, but the other nine were ancestors of the most famous families in Northern hero lore.

7. Tyggi (poetic name for prince or king)
8. Skyli or Skúli (poetic names for prince or king)
