Alaisiagae

The Alaisiagae were Roman-British-Germanic-Frisian war-goddesses.

A votive altar at Vercovicium (Housesteads) near Hadrian‘s Wall, Cumbria c.150 CE is dedicated to “Deo Marti Thingso et dualbus Alaesiagis Bede et Fimmileve”.

The names of the Alaisiagae were: Beda, Baudihille, Fimmilena, and Friagabis.
Perhaps the Celtic Beda is equated with Germanic Friagabis and the Celtic Baudihille is equated with Germanic Fimmilena.

The Alaisiagae were very similar to the Nordic Valkyries and the trinity-aspects of the Celtic war goddess Morrigan (Nemain, Macha and Badb).

Meaning: “Allative Sending Fears” or “Dispatching Terrors”
